This Hepa filter filters out 100% dust mites and 99.8% ragweed and common grass pollens. This filter should be replaced every 3 to 6 months depending on the amount of use. The vacuums that use this filter are the Empower, Windtunnel Bagless uprights, Savvy Bagless uprights and the new Anniversary bagless uprights

It is better than the original in that it is washable. Will buy again. This filter is exactly like the original in terms of fitting. Shipping was fast and having the shipping included in the purchase price made this a very good value.
